Building Generational Wealth Beyond Just Finances

April is financial literacy month and as I reflect, I am learning that wealth is more than just how much money we have in the bank account, our properties and possessions. Yes, basic necessities cost money & our future goals require $$$ investments (e.g. savings account, cutting down debt, building a savings &/or retirement account, vacations, a home, life insurance, travel, etc…), AND I am also learning to see money as a tool to align with our needs and values (rather than just accumulate or present a certain way). Having enough money to do this DOES involve a certain level of monetary assets, but wealth goes beyond the numbers.

In our family & Christian faith, we ALSO see wealth as the intangible things that make life meaningful: our physical health; the quality of our relationships; walking in our purpose; moments of peace & gratitude; being able to navigate difficult transitions at a pace of grace; healthy routines and work/life; stress management skills; mental health and so much more!

That said, I also know the impact poverty & living paycheck to paycheck can have on our OVERALL health because it is all interconnected(!), so, as a famiLee, we are also dedicated to spreading the financial & mental health education that is needed to move toward financial health & wealth (for all).

My husband and I offer educational money & mental health classes, AND If you are reading this prior to April 26th, I’d love to invite you to a free upcoming Money & Mental Health Webinar I am doing alongside my husband (who is also a financial professional) on the topic of “Building Generational Wealth” on Saturday 4/26 from 10am-11:15am on Zoom (register for recording too). We will be sharing some mental health & financial education to help you take your next baby step to overall health & wealth, for you and your family. Visit the event page to learn more here and we hope to see you there! (ps the event recording will be sent to you post-event).

I hope you are well and take care of yourselves too <3 con poder y amor, Jlee, millennialtheramom
